WHAT ARE STATS?
The statistics (or stats) is a piece of data that represents a particular aspect of your character, gear or item. The meaning behind each can be found below.
BASE STATS These are stats your character has innately, without the aid of gear or abilities. Geared stats is what we usually call the numbers that have been boosted by equipment and abilities. All characters begin with a base stat of one (1), poor level.
Don't fret, during character creation players are given six points to distribute between their base stats. Also, with the choice of race and class, these numbers increase even further.
The plus and minus signs that are seen throughout character creation usually mean plus or minus one (+1 or -1). If you see two plus signs, that would mean plus two (+2), and so on.
EP | Energy Points Casting abilities consume Energy. More energy means you can cast or use abilities in one thread more often.
PP | Power Points These dictate how strong a character is. If your character punched someone, how much damage would they deal? If they tossed a fireball, how much would that burn? If they cast a healing spell, for how much would it heal? These power points are usually added to an ability's power points for a stronger result.
HP | Health Points A character's health is tracked via health points. When a character suffers wounds, these are subtracted from their health points in sequential order. Stacking HP through any means, be it with gear, abilities or training is a must for any players increased rate of survival.
CHARACTER BASE STATS
Remember, you have six points to distribute between the base stats:
EP 1 PP 1 HP 1 We start with one point in each and add the six. They do not need to be distributed evenly, but the end result of these numbers added up should always be nine. This is without having added your character's class, affinity and/or race stats.
Example of stats with the six points filled in:
EP 3 PP 3 HP 3
Another thing to note is that the numbers that are added from class, affinity and/or race are just meant for character creation. These numbers could be increased through various means in the game, like training, gear, items, events and more. The same way these numbers can be increased they could also be decreased, so tread lightly.
Luckily, if your character is aligned with the right diety, their patron god will protect them in their own special way.
